ARLINGTON -- Rosalie Pollinzi Scottino, 97, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, in Arlington.
Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Monday, May 9, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1200 S. Davis Drive, Arlington, with Father Mike Ciski, T.O.R., celebrant. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 10 a.m. Monday, May 9, prior to the service at the church with a rosary beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church.
Rosalie was born in Waco on Feb. 28, 1919. She was co-owner of Scottino's Bakery in Arlington with her husband, Paschal, for many years. She also worked at Hill Elementary and volunteered at Arlington Memorial Hospital. Rosalie was a devout member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church.
Rosalie was loved by a host of friends and beloved family and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Paschal L. Scottino, in 2001; son, Joseph "Jody" Scottino; daughters, Cora Anne Mayott and Carolyn Scottino; parents, Sam Pollinzi and Carrie Magnolia Pollinzi; siblings, Joseph Pollinzi, Vincent Pollinzi and Nancy Paprskar.
Survivors: Grandchildren, Caroline Mayott Morey and husband, Moon Morey, John Christopher Hilek and wife, Allison Hilek, Ron Mayott and wife, Bethany Mayott; great-grandchildren, Evan Joseph and Noah Christopher; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and many friends.
