Ronald G. Davis, age 74, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018, in Arlington. Visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, June 22, 2018, at Highland Church of Christ; 1201 Sycamore School Rd. Fort Worth, Texas. The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, immediately following the visitation. Graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Sweetwater Cemetery in Sweetwater, Texas. Ronald was born on August 11, 1943, in Sweetwater. His family moved to Arlington in 1955. Ronald enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1964, serving as an Air Policeman for four years, and also served as a police officer for the Arlington Police Department for six years. Ronald then became a student of Biblical Studies at Brown Trail School of Preaching in Bedford, graduating in 1978, then earned his bachelor's degree in Bible from Tennessee Bible College in 1982. Ronald was proud to serve his country, city, and brothers and sisters in Christ, serving as a preacher for the churches of Christ in Tennessee, Colorado and Texas. In his retirement, he compassionately pursued his mission to share the Gospel of Christ through prison ministry. His proudest accomplishment, however, was serving his family as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Pauline Davis, and sister, Anita Poley. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jan of Arlington, Texas; sons Brian Davis and wife Jenny of Burleson, Texas, and Lance Davis and wife Lisa of San Antonio, Texas; daughters Amanda West and husband Michael of Dallas, Texas, and Tiffany Mosley and husband Matt of Ennis, Texas; six granddaughters, Carley Sparks and husband Jody, Chloe Davis, Melody Mosley, and Aubrey, Emily, and Katy Davis. Funeral arrangements by Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington, Texas, and graveside arrangements by Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home, Sweetwater, Texas.
