Ronald Eugene Barfield

Ronald E. Barfield, a dedicated husband and father, passed away on August 1, 2024 in Tyler, Texas.

Born on November 27, 1947, in Baytown, Texas to Harold and Mattie Mae Barfield, Ronald touched the hearts of many with his passion, humor, and unwavering family pride. Ronald earned an Associates Degree from Lee College and also attended the University of Texas at Austin. He went on to have a successful career in sales, making a name for himself at companies like 3M, Minolta, Schlumberger, and Heartland Payment Systems. His dedication to his work led to numerous awards for sales excellence and left a lasting impact on his colleagues and peers.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Ronald was a proud member of the Patriot Guard Riders of North Texas, completing over 500 missions in service to his community and country. His sense of duty and honor were reflected in every aspect of his life, earning him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

Ronald was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Pruitt. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Janice Barfield; daughter Kellan Barfield; son Brad Barfield (wife Stephanie) and grandchildren Matthew, Ryan, and Jax Barfield. Ronald also leaves behind his sisters, Beverly Ford (husband Bill) and Marilyn Kusy (husband Chuck); brother-in-law Tracy Pruitt as well as other family members and friends who will deeply miss his presence.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Ronald’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, August 12 at Wade Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Arlington, Texas.

Ronald E. Barfield will be deeply missed but forever remembered. May he rest in peace, knowing the impact he had on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
