After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri in 1954, Ron served as a medic in the U.S. Army, stationed with the Allied Forces in the American sector of what was then West Berlin. After being honorably discharged, he pursued his post-graduate education and earned an MBA from St. Louis University. During this time, he married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Kuehn, on May 2, 1959. Ron went back to the aerospace industry in the mid-1980's and retired in 1995. Ron enjoyed his children and grandchildren, playing poker with all of his neighbors and later his friends at the Arlington Plaza. Ron was an avid fan of all the major sports teams in the DFW area, particularly the Rangers and the Dallas Mavericks.
