Ronald Dwain Barker

Ronald “Dwain” Barker, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the age of 74.

He was born on June 21, 1949 to Bobby and Dorothy Barker.

Dwain was originally from White Settlement, Texas. He attended Brewer High School and upon graduating, he attended Tarrant County Junior College. He married Sandy Barker on June 30, 1990 and they spent 33 wonderful years together.

In his free time over the years he loved to fish, golf, travel and show his classic Mercury Cougar. During retirement, he ran a weekly Meals on Wheels route, took many trips to the mountains with Sandy and spent time supporting his grandkids at their numerous events. He loved being a dad and enjoyed spending time with his children and family.

Dwain is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Lloyd Barker and his mother, Dorothy Faye Barker.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Barker; son, Bobby Barker; daughters, Anna Cotton and Mandy Blankenship; grandchildren, Mia Cotton, Palmer Blankenship and Graham Blankenship; sister, Carol Mendez; father in-law and mother in-law, Dearle and Doris McKnight; brother in-law and sister in-law, Pat and Sonya Stephens; and other extended family members and loving friends.
