Ronald "Ron" BeVelle, 74, of Poolville, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024. Ron was born on May 13, 1950, in Panama Canal Zone and grew up in Chillicothe, Missouri, where he graduated from Chillicothe High School. After graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, cultivating a lifelong passion for planes and a deep sense of patriotism.
Ron had an undeniable zest for life and a love for simple pleasures. Whether he was working on cars, fishing on a stock pond, or hunting for arrowheads and petrified wood, Ron was happiest outdoors. He was an avid car enthusiast, collecting and restoring classics, including his beloved 1965 Falcon convertible and 1957 Chevy step-side pickup. Ron also adored music, knowing the lyrics to every song, and loved singing along to artists like Midland, Alan Jackson, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Metallica-especially during car rides with his family.
Ron cherished time spent at his 50-acre property in Poolville, Texas. There, he created countless memories with family and friends, from bonfires and Fourth of July fireworks to fishing and operating his trusty loader and tractor. He found beauty in the countryside and its wildflowers, embracing the simple, low-maintenance lifestyle he loved.
Ron was known for his humor, quick wit, and positivity. A natural storyteller, he never met a stranger, and his selflessness and encouragement left a lasting impact on everyone he met. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Ron made time for each family member, ensuring they felt loved and valued.
Christmas was a special time for Ron, who embraced the season with childlike wonder. His light and presence will be deeply missed, especially during the holidays. A true fighter, Ron faced life's challenges with grace and never complained, no matter the pain he endured.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mildred BeVelle, and his sister, Vicki Hess. He is survived by his loving wife, Terry BeVelle; his children, Tim BeVelle and wife Caci, Tina BeVelle Taylor and husband Terry, Blair BeVelle and longtime boyfriend Derrick Emmendorfer, Brooke BeVelle, and Bailey BeVelle; his brother, Ray BeVelle and wife Ann; and his grandson, Tate Taylor and longtime girlfriend Danae Lee. Ron also leaves behind his loyal service dog and sidekick, Boz, along with many extended family members and friends.
