Romeo Mateo Ancheta, 77, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Visitation: 5-9 p.m. Friday, March 24, at the funeral home.

Romeo was born on May 1, 1946 in the Philippines to Petronilo Ancheta and Fidela Mateo Ancheta. He worked at Walmart for over 25 years. Romeo was a handyman; he could fix anything that needed to be fixed. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Fort Worth.

He had a carefree and independent spirit. He was very outgoing and friendly, and always had a smile on his face. Romeo was compassionate and supportive; he was always thoughtful of others. He dearly loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Romeo was a very good cook and enjoyed making traditional Philippine dishes. He enjoyed going on road trips with family and friends. He loved animals. He will be dearly missed.

He had a green thumb and love to grow plants and vegetables.
