Roger Thomas Hayashi

Roger Thomas Hayashi, 76, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 in Arlington, Texas. Memorial Service: 12:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Roger was born on March 7, 1941 in Carrington, North Dakota to Harry T. Hayashi, Jr. and Marguerite Elaine Elton Hayashi. Roger graduated from St. Catherine's High School in 1959 and attended Valley City State in Valley City, ND. He worked in the family restaurant until 1966 and then moved to Texas to manage the Officer's Club at Carswell AFB in Fort Worth. Later, he joined the Edward Don Company in restaurant equipment sales. In 1979, he started his own Trucking business retiring in 2001. Roger enjoyed fishing, golf, traveling and reading. Those who knew him loved him for his humor, integrity and generosity. He wanted the best for everyone. Survivors: Wife of 53 years, Alice Hayashi; sons, Tim Hayashi and wife, Sheree, and Thomas Hayashi and wife, Gwyn; sisters, Terri Henderson, and Vicki Shannon and husband, John; grandchildren, Tiffany Girardot and husband, Alan, and Courtney Foster; great-granddaughter, Sophia Girardot; and many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
