Roger Lee Rickard

Roger Lee Rickard, 82, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 in Arlington.

Memorial Service: 10 a.m. Sunday, January 23, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.

Roger was born on July 7, 1939 in Kansas to Harold Richard Rickard and Beulah Vivian Clark Rickard. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Roger worked for LTV for 35 years.

He enjoyed listening to classic rock. Roger liked to travel and loved meeting people. He never met a stranger and developed a relationship with everyone he knew. He dearly loved his family. He was a longtime Scoutmaster. He coached Cub Scout baseball, and elementary/middle-school softball.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen Elizabeth Rickard.

Survivors: Sons, Jay Rickard and wife, Martha, Cecil Rickard and wife, Betty, and David Rickard; daughter, Kristina McClain; brothers, Gene Rickard and wife, Karyl, and Richard Rickard and wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Cindy, Luis, Greg, Lauren, Heather and Megan; and 9 great-grandchildren.
