Robert Lynn Reynolds

January 23, 1954 — November 10, 2016

FORT WORTH -- Robert Lynn Reynolds, 62, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 in Plano. Graveside Service: 3:00 p.m. Monday at Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Visitation: 1:00-2:30 p.m. Monday prior to the service at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington. Robert Lynn Reynolds was born on January 23, 1954 to Ronald and Nadine Reynolds. He was the youngest of his siblings. As a young man he was interested in computers, motorcycles and cars. He met his wife, Jacquie, at a motorcycle shop where they both spent time. They married on April 27, 1985. Jacquie's son, Jeff, and daughter, Wendi, became family. Robert and Jacquie had a daughter together, Megan. He had three grandchildren, Chelsi, Jacob, and Derek. He had close friends Bruce, Carol, Tim, Lisa, Pat, Dave, and others who raised their children together, enjoyed Halloween parties, and just lived life. Robert worked in telecommunications his entire life, climbing the ranks through hard work and dedication. He traveled to foreign countries and the Middle East for work and enjoyed vacations with family to Disney World. He was very active in Megan's extracurricular activities, spending Saturdays at math competitions and marching band contests. He taught Megan and Chelsi to drive, and rode motorcycles with Jeff and Jacob. Though Wendi was grown when Jacquie and Robert married, he was a father to her and officiated when Wendi married Ronnie. Every Christmas Eve was surrounded by family, taking turns opening gifts, which he picked out carefully for each one he loved. Everyone who knew him could rely on him to get the job done, whatever the job may be, and knew it would be done right. He had a childlike enthusiasm for all things new and interesting and loved to fix, build, and tinker. He was Jacquie's partner and her rock. From the day they met, she could always confide in him, and she took great joy in their long conversations. She took care of him and he took care of her. Jokingly, she promised him 16 years when they got married, but he managed to get 31 before his death. After struggling with congestive heart failure, Robert passed away on November 10, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Leon Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Jacquie Reynolds; children Megan Brown, Wendi Kubis, and Jeff Cox; and grandchildren Chelsi Ray, Jacob Cox, Derek Cox, Cole Kubis, and Devon Kubis. Additionally, he leaves behind his son-in-law Luke Brown, son-in-law Ronnie Kubis, daughter-in-law Kelley Cox, brother Jerry Thompson, sister-in-law Darnell Thompson, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews as well as friends and colleagues. Family who knew and loved him miss him with heavy hearts. His life will leave a lasting impression on those it touched, making them better by his example of generosity, tenderness, good humor, tolerance, perseverance, and love. He will be remembered as "Robert," "Daddy," and "Grandpa," and passes with the honor and dignity of a life well lived. Wade Family Funeral Home Arlington, 817-274-9233
