ARLINGTON -- Robert "Bob" Gunnard Anderson, 84, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, in Arlington.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, the Rev. Ken Kilinski officiating. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 1 p.m. Monday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Bob was born June 3, 1930, in Winnebago, Ill., to Gunnard Tobias Anderson and Hilder Carlson Anderson. He was raised on the family farm in Illinois and graduated from the University of Michigan where he earned a master's degree in aeronautical engineering. An Arlington resident for the past 41 years, he was an active member of Fielder Road Baptist Church. Bob worked as an aeronautical engineer with LTV for 43 years. He was a private pilot and enjoyed motorcycles and antique cars.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Robert Kent Anderson, in 2000.
Survivors: Wife of 61 years, Janet L. Anderson; daughter, Debra Linguist and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Carson Anderson, Colton Anderson, Wyatt Anderson, Deidre Felan and Matthew Linguist; and a host of family and friends.
