ARLINGTON -- Robert Walter "Bobby" Williams, 78, passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, in Arlington.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Parkdale Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Bobby was born April 19, 1935, in Georgetown to Robert Louis "Ted" and Bertha Mae "Boochie" Williams. Upon graduation from Georgetown High School in 1953 he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany until 1956.
Bobby was a dedicated husband and father who enjoyed attending his children's, grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's school and social activities.
He was an avid craftsman and artist and dedicated much of his later life compiling an extensive genealogy researched for his large family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and family gatherings, and were high on his list of things to do.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Hester Jeton; and granddaughter, Amy McDonald.
Survivors: Wife, Kay Williams; children, Greg Williams and wife, Pam, Debbie Lonsford and husband, Don, Jeff Williams and wife, Suzy, Scott Williams and wife, Cara; sister, Betty Jane Robertson; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
