Bob was born on January 23, 1970 in Lansing, Michigan to Robert N. Moyer Sr. and Rebecca S. Moore Moyer. Bob and Heidi Eyler Moyer met when they were 17 and were high school sweethearts at Arlington High School. Bob enjoyed being in Air Force ROTC in high school and college. They married on August 8, 1992, and moved to Ohio and then Maine where he started the journey of learning to fly.
His dream of becoming a commercial airline pilot for American Airlines came true. Bob truly loved his career and was very passionate about it, but he also enjoyed the camaraderie and helping fellow pilots from his flight school and airlines he worked for, including Express Jet and American. In addition to flying, he also enjoyed riding motorcycles and went on many family and friends trips across the country.
Bob loved his family; they meant everything to him. His favorite and most memorable event involved taking each of his three daughters to their own special dance at the City of Arlington Daddy Daughter Dances every year since 2006.
Bob had a big personality and was a friend to everyone. He was a leader and positive encourager who lit up a room. Bob was intuitive and intelligent. He would push you out of your comfort zone to make you a better and stronger person. Bob built relationships and created communities. Bob was dependable and never gave up. He would always try to find the answer. Bob will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
