It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Walker on March 30th, 2018, aged 74. Born in Brooklyn in 1944, Bob and his family spent the 1950s travelling around Central and South America to different job posts in different places: San Jose, Costa Rica, Lima, Peru and Caracas, Venezuela. After a brief return to Glen Rock New Jersey, Bob went on to attend the American School Foundation in Monterrey Mexico, where he graduated in 1962. He joined the Navy after high school and served in the Gulf of Tonkin on the USS Ticonderoga. He moved to Los Angeles, California in the late 1960s to join his parents and sister and attend California State University - Northridge, graduating with a degree in Accounting. Bob and his family moved to Arlington Texas in 1984. His retirement years were spent with his kids, grandkids, friends and family. He hosted many a barbecue, swimming party, birthday and holiday at his house in Arlington where his grandkids learned to swim. His love of cooking and especially of fancy cooking equipment served him well and many a tasty meal was shared around his swimming pool. He was an avid music lover, not just of Elvis Presley but especially of his sons' band. He was a sports fan, attending his kids' and grandkids' hockey games, soccer games and swimming meets. He spent time with his friends at get-togethers and events, as well as hosting them at his house in Arlington. Our beloved brother, father and friend will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
