Robert Louis Buesing

May 13, 1927 — April 6, 2019

Robert L. Buesing (Bob), 91, died 4-6-19 in Arlington, TX, of natural causes. His Celebration of Life will be held at Wade Family Funeral Home on Saturday, 4-20-19 at 2pm. A private graveside service will be held later at DFW National Cemetery. Memorials: The family asks instead of sending flowers, please consider a donation to Wounded Warriors. Bob served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. He then worked at Texas Instruments 16 years before retiring. Bob was born May 13, 1927, in Bloomfield, NE. He moved many times while growing up, graduating from high school in Lockwood, MO. After high school Bob joined the U.S. Army, then the Army Air Corps (later US Air Force), eventually becoming an instructor with the missile projects. The instructor position required many moves over the years, which led to his traveling to every state in the United States. He also was stationed in Germany twice. The first time, in 1948, he brought home a German bride, Frieda. In 1967 Bob retired from the military. At the time he had two job offers; he had the option of working in Denver, CO, or Grand Prairie, TX. He chose Texas, and the choice became an object of discussion every Texas summer. He worked at LTV in Grand Prairie, but eventually joined Texas Instruments in Richardson until he retired. Bob was a member of Saint Barnabas United Methodist Church, the Seekers Sunday School Class, the Arlington Men's Garden Club, and the Diamond Jubileers Square Dance Club. Survivors: His wife of 70 years, Frieda R. Buesing; sons, Gary Buesing, and his wife, Marcy, Michael Buesing, and his wife, Marit; daughter, Lynn Peters, and her husband, Larry; grandchildren, Jennifer McKee, and her husband, Michael, Delaney Loucks and her husband, Nicholas, Matthew Buesing, Nicholas Buesing and his wife, Kendall, and Chase Buesing, Erin and Victoria Peters; great-grandchildren: Macie McKee, Olive Buesing, and Landon Loucks.
