Robert Lee Meuret, 87, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 in Arlington.
Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 21, at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2100 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Interment: 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 20, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Lee was born on January 11, 1931 in Orchard, Nebraska to Joseph Edward Meuret and Katie Boyle Meuret. He and his younger brother took over the family business after his father passed. Lee was 16 and a junior in high school and remained there until he entered into the Navy, where he served for 4 years. He received his undergrad from Creighton University in Omaha and later a masters in Hospital Administration from St. Louis University. Lee was married in 1960. He was a hospital administrator in Valley City, North Dakota until he moved his family to Colorado Springs in 1976 where he pursued the insurance industry. He was a pilot and an athlete. Lee was a major volunteer in civic service and had a heart to give back to the community. He was very close to his family and always there when anyone was in need. Lee was always there for others.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Margaret Meuret Philip.
Survivors: Wife, Mary Ann Hoffman Meuret; daughters, Nancy Lee Martin and husband, Glenn, M. Susie Wheeler and husband, Mickey, and Leanne R. Meuret; brothers, John Meuret, Joe Meuret and Dick Meuret; sister, Catherine Meuret Straka; and grandchildren, Alex Martin, Allison Martin and Jared Wheeler.
