Robert Lee Hopson

Robert Lee Hopson, 80, a lifetime resident of Arlington, TX, went to be with the Lord on August 14, 2023.

Robert, known as Rob, was born on March 18, 1943, to Delbert and Irene Hopson. After graduating from Arlington High in 1962 he worked at GM for several years. He then went on to have a career in law enforcement, ready-mix concrete sales, and industrial diesel engine sales. He retired at age 77 from M.G. Bryan Equipment Co., a business which he thoroughly enjoyed. Rob was a stickler for customer service.

He was a husband, a father, and a friend to many. He was a collector with various interests. A history and movie buff, and an avid outdoorsman. Rob will be greatly missed by all who loved him for many reasons, among them, his witty sense of humor.

Rob is survived by his wife of 15 years, Nancy Hopson; Children: Rhonda Torsiello and husband, Dave Torsiello; Ray Hopson; Leslie Paxton and husband, Orsen Paxton IV; Grandchildren: Lilly Paxton, and Orsen Paxton V; Sister: Susan Hopson, as well as many extended family members. He was preceded in death by both parents, Delbert Hopson, and Irene Hopson.
