Robert Lee (Bob) Combs Robert Lee Combs (Bob), 66, of Arlington, Texas passed away on Tuesday evening, November 22, 2016 at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas. He was born on January 7, 1950 in Charleston, WV and was the son of Okey Harlan Combs, Jr, and Mary Frances Combs. Bob was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, New Orleans, LA and received his B.A. in Business Administration at Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, KY. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was employed by American Bank Stationary for 5 years in Raleigh, NC. During his career with ABS, Bob met and married Nora Jean Smiley of Falls Church, VA. Bob and Nora moved to Jacksonville, FL where Bob continued his career with Surgikos, a division of Johnson and Johnson. Subsequently they moved to Arlington, Texas and Chicago, IL and then retired in Arlington. He also was employed for 25 years with Johnson and Johnson he traveled the world extensively including all of Europe, Asia and Australia. He was preceded in death by his father, Okey H. Combs and a nephew, John Bennett Orteza. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Nora; his mother, Mary Frances of St. Albans, WV; his sisters, Mary Margaret Head and husband Ben of Birmingham, AL; Barbara Ann Heng and husband Richard of Hegenheim, France and their two sons, Charles and Joseph; and sister, Linda Catherine Orteza and her husband Luis of Birmingham, AL and their two daughters, Audrey Vermilyea and husband Paul and Carrie Orteza. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington, Tx. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA or to St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 815 Kanawha Terrace, St. Albans, WV.
