Mr. Robert Hamilton Brennan Jr.

March 15, 1938 — May 13, 2024

Robert “Bob” Hamilton Brennan Jr., 86, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on May 13, 2024. He was born on March 15, 1938 in Moberly, Missouri.

Bob was raised on farms in Missouri and Iowa. After high school, he attended NWMSU Maryville to study the new field of computer programming. He continued his studies at the American Institute of Business completing his formal education via IBM Certification DPMA in 1964. He had a successful career during the early days of computers and operated Ham Radios. Bob was an avid motocross racer in the 1960s and 1970s and life-long enthusiast, having worked for US Suzuki Motor Corp and McCormack International (American Eagle). He continued his career at Federated Department Stores (Macy’s) and retired from Pier 1 Imports.

He learned to work hard and have grit at a young age and always had the dream of having a family of his own. He met the love of his life, Bonnie, in Newport Beach, California in 1963. It was love at first sight and his life was forever changed. They enjoyed many adventures together from SoCal to Las Vegas and beyond before starting their family.

Bob’s work would eventually bring the Brennan Family to DFW in the early 1970s. It is here where he planted his roots and raised his family. In his free time when his children were growing up, Bob coached youth baseball in Arlington and was known as “Coach” throughout his life. After retirement, he developed a passion for photography, with nature being his favorite subject. He enjoyed capturing moments at almost all of the 105 Arlington City Parks including Southwest Nature Preserve and local art festivals. Bob also enjoyed photographing his family and beloved cat, Autumn.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Bonnie.
