Robert Eugene Ernst Jr.

Robert Eugene Ernst, Jr. aka Bob, E-kat, Shimp, passed away peacefully at home holding hands with his loving wife and daughter on October 31, 2023 at the age of 76.
Bob was born in Flint, MI on April 11, 1947 to Robert and Vivian Ernst. He graduated High School in 1965, enlisted in the Army in 1968 and was honorably discharged in 1970. His career choice moved him to Arlington, TX in 1981 to work for Jack Cooper Transport hauling cars out of the General Motors plant for 35 years. He married the love of his life, Teri in Venus, TX in 1998. They were happily married until his passing.
Bob was involved in many organizations. He was a Michigan Wolverines fan (GO BLUE!), attended many Nascar races (NASCAR BABY!), an avid golfer and was a part of the Arlington Men’s Seniors Golf League. He was also a member of the Phoenix Motorcycle Club for 20+ years. Bob loved to BBQ which included taking several Art of barbecuing classes and for him, the party never stopped.
He was a Husband, Son, Dad, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather, Brother-In-Law and friend, but most of all, he was just a great guy.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 25 years, Teri Ernst, his only son Jonathan (Liceria) Ernst of Rocklin, CA, precious daughter Angela (Dustin) Fort of Stephenson, MI, four grandchildren, his brother David Ernst of Flint, MI and 8 nieces.
