Robert Charles "Bobby" Hunt, age 56, passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2017 at 7:15 a.m. in Watauga Texas.
He was born to Mary Catherine Smith Schafer and Albright Hunt Jr. at 6:20 p.m. on March 12th, 1960 in Arlington Texas.
Bobby was raised in Arlington and graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1978. He was a world-renowned sculptor avid hunter and die-hard Longhorn fan. He began working at Schaefer Art Bronze Casting in 1972 and worked there until he retired in 2014. Bobby was an amazing and talented sculptor. He loved wildlife and created numerous African and North American wildlife pieces. His artwork is enjoyed by many across the globe. He was a sportsman and conservationists. His love of Africa was known to all. Hunting was in his blood and he past that love onto his children and his wife. He has made numerous contributions to Safari Club International in order to raise money for conservation efforts and education of youth in the art of hunting. Texas Longhorns were Bobby's other love besides his family. He was never a fair weather fan and even to his last day Longhorn videos we're playing on his TV.
Bobby is survived by his wife Kelli Hunt, his daughter Brandy Cotter and her husband Paul, his sons Ryan Hunt, Zane Goggans and his wife Jessie, and Dillon "Bo"" Hunt, his granddaughter Emma Cotter, his mother Mary Kay Schaefer and husband Joe, father Albright Hunt Jr and wife Glenda, his brother Billy Hunt and wife Leanne, sister Cheryl Ladd and husband Tommy, sister Cookie Rice and husband Russell, brother James Schaefer, sister Rita Lewis and husband Kevin, brother John Hunt, brother Todd Hunt and wife Laura, brother Trey Hunt and wife Jill, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
