ARLINGTON -- Robert (Bob) Parker Freeburg passed away Monday, January 13, 2014, in Arlington at the age of 89.
Memorial Service: 7 p.m. Friday, January 17, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Robert was born February 4, 1924 in Niagara Falls, N.Y. to Parker and Mary Freeburg. A loyal husband of 61 years and father to four, Robert dedicated 29 years of his life to the United States Army with duty in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. His military career led him to the Criminal Investigation Division, and he was honorably discharged in 1968 as a Chief Warrant Officer. Robert worked as a Regional Security Manager for McKesson through retirement, then as a private security consultant post-retirement.
Robert is preceded in death by his dear wife of 61 years Shirley and second daughter Shawn.
Survivors: Robert's legacy endures through his family: daughters, Nanceen Jaynes and Alyson Freeburg-Washburn and husband, David; son, Robert Parker Freeburg II and wife, Christine; grandchildren, Travis and Mary Jaynes, Paige and Parker Freeburg; and great-grandchildren, Eli, Jacob, Colin and Lily Jaynes, and Ryan Jaynes.
