Robbie Inez Risinger

ARLINGTON -- Robbie Inez Risinger, 92, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, while in the care of the angels at an Arlington hospital. Graveside service: Private burial in Meadowbrook Gardens, Paris. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robbie's name to Community Hospice of Texas-Inpatient Services at Arlington Memorial Hospital, 6100 Western Place, Suite 500, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Robbie was born and raised in Blossom. She attended East Texas State University, completing her master's degree in education. She and her husband, Lewis, began their careers in teaching and administration in Arlington in 1955 where she taught at Blanton and Wimbish Elementary for 32 years. She was a proud member of First Baptist Church-Arlington for over 50 years. She loved her church and AISD. Upon retirement, she and Lewis traveled in their RV to every state but two, many times with their AISD buddies. She had such fun with her teaching and church friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Risinger, and her brother, Travis Bruce. Survivors: Son, Carey Don Risinger and wife, Vicki; grandsons, Cole Risinger and wife, Anndi, and Cade Risinger, and their mother, Barbara Stovall, who helped in Robbie's care and is an important part of Robbie's loving family.
