ARLINGTON -- Ricky Dale Pflum, 46 (also known as Magic Ricky) passed away at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012. This was the same day his grandfather passed away in 1990.
Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: 1:00 p.m. Saturday at McQuire Cemetery, Oklahoma. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home.
Ricky was born March 21, 1966 in Enid, OK to Virginia and Monty Pflum. He moved to Arlington, TX with his parents and brother in July 1966. In 1988, he graduated from Sam Houston High School in Arlington, TX and attended TCC for a short time. Ricky loved making people happy and enjoyed doing magic shows and acting. He loved to travel and has seen all the states except Alaska. His first love was magic, followed by swimming, painting, and photography, water skiing, skating and riding his bicycle. He enjoyed watching old movies like "Brady Bunch, Wizard of OZ and Walker Texas Ranger". He had the opportunity to be on Walker Texas Ranger once.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis and Bertha Rist; and Charles and Louise Pflum.
Survivors: He is survived by his parents, Monty and Virginia Pflum, Arlington, TX; one brother, Marty Pflum and his wife, Mei Yi, Austin, TX; one niece, Rachel Pflum of Austin, TX.
