ARLINGTON -- Richard Andrew Tucker, 76, passed away from this life into his eternal life with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 24, 2015, three days shy of his 77th birthday.
Memorial service: 10 a.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Richard was born May 27, 1938, to Andrew and Pearl Tucker. He was the youngest of five siblings, Virginia Davidson, Pauline McDaniel, Mary Ellen Smith and Billie Marie Zymkoski.
Richard moved his family from Big Spring to Arlington in 1966 and was a member of Woods Chapel Baptist Church. He earned his teaching certificate at Texas A&M University. Richard taught building trades at South Grand Prairie High School from 1972 to 1988. He also taught cabinet building classes at North Lake College and Mountain View College for several years. Most recently Richard worked for the Small Business Administration doing disaster assistance until 2006.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Mary Ellen and Billie Marie.
Survivors: His wife of 56 years, Linda Tucker; daughter, Kerre Randel and fiance, Bob Ortegel; son, Steven Tucker and wife, Theresa; son, Anthony Tucker and wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Nathan Randel and wife, Liana, Brittany Rico and husband, Andrew, Kaylann Tucker and fiance, Nick Driver, Andrew Tucker, Stephanie Tucker, Andrew Farquar and Brandon Tucker and wife, Andrea; and great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Lyla, Grady, Bryson, Avery and Alexander.
