ARLINGTON -- Richard John Nagy, 82, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 in Arlington.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m Tuesday at Most Blessed Sacrament, 2100 North Davis Drive, Arlington with Monsignor Joe Scantlin, celebrant.

Richard was born on July 23, 1931 in Weirton, WV to John Lazlo Nagy and Helen Mevda Nagy. He was married to his childhood sweetheart, Rita for 61 years. Richard received his BA from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and studied at Boston College for several years. He served in the United States Navy and was assigned to their legal department in Boston, Mass.
Richard was employed by Dresser Industries as Vice President and Controller of various Dresser divisions in several different states throughout his career. He was an active member of the National Association of Accountants and had several articles published in the journal of accountancy. After leaving Dresser, he owned and operated five Kelly Cleaners.
Upon retirement, he was actively involved in the Knights of Columbus, Big Brother and Sisters, Arlington Senior Men's Golf Association, The Couples Club of Most Blessed Sacrament, and the YMCA. Richard earned his Black Belt at the age of 63.
Survivors: Beloved wife, Rita Faye; daughter, Rebecca; sons, Richard and wife, Sandy, Rodman and wife, Amy, Randall and wife, Peggy, and Ryan; brothers, Rudy Nagy and wife, Freda; ten grandchildren, Patrick, Caitlyn, Evan, Colin, Scotty, Summer, Ricky, Mason, Grace and Payton; and numerous cousins.
