Richard Charles “Dick” Hirsch, 73, of Arlington passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018.
Viewing: 3:00 – 5:00 pm Sunday, July 15, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76013. Memorial Service: 3:00 pm Monday, July 16, also at Wade Family Funeral Home.
Dick was born November 24, 1944 in Temple, Texas. He moved to Arlington when he was in the third grade in 1952. After graduating from Arlington High School, Dick served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. After his discharge, he returned to Arlington and began Hirsch Construction. He worked as a framing contractor on residential and commercial buildings throughout the Metroplex for more than 50 years. When he wasn't busy providing for his family and customers, Dick enjoyed working, family trips and building things. He was happiest when he was with his family, friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Connie and Henry Hirsch and a brother, Tom Hirsch.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia, his son, Richard Andrew Hirsch of Arlington and wife, Karen and granddaughter, Sydney; daughter, Sarah Keller of Mansfield and husband, Sean, and grandsons, Ryan, Aaron, Will and Cameron. Dick also was well loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
