R G Kays

R G Kays, 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in Fort Worth, Texas. A Celebration of Life service will be at Regency Baptist Church -5101 New York Avenue- Arlington, TX 76010 on Saturday, April 6th at 11:00 AM with Brother Raymond Humphrey officiating the service. There will be no burial service that follows. RG Kays was born on April 11, 1940 in Denton, Texas to Roy Gideon Kays and Ruby Pauline Bothwell. RG was employed at American Permanent Ware in Dallas, Texas for 30 years, until he retired. He was known as “Shakey” to his coworkers. RG was famous for his foot shuffling or as he called it "dancing". He loved his family and loved to brag about them to anyone who would listen. RG was never at a loss for words and never met a stranger. His grandchildren called him “papa puff” or “Popeye”. RG was survived by his wife, Nina of 48 years; one daughter, Angela and husband Richard Vance of Arlington, Tx; sons, Johnny and wife, Stephanie Kays of Oregon; Randy Kays, two daughters, Carol and Ila Kays all of Oregon; stepson, Bryan Richardson and wife, Kim of Caddo, Oklahoma; stepdaughter, Mellissa Humphrey and husband, Raymond of Lane, Ok; and one sister, Janet Lesley and Jim Foster of Quinlan,TX.
