Rex B. Madry

ARLINGTON -- Rex B. Madry, 81, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, in Arlington. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, with Rev. Jerry Morris officiating. Interment: Southland Cemetery, Grand Prairie. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Rex was born April 16, 1931, in Lamesa to Jesse Clay Madry and Mamie Jones Madry. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955. Rex retired after 18 years of service with AISD as a painter. His family was important to him and he dearly loved his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife, Mebla Madry, in 2006 and his parents. Survivors: Brothers, Jesse Madry and wife, Phyllis, of Greenville and Jimmy Madry and wife, Karen, of Big Spring; sister, Henrietta Harkrider and husband, Billy, of Arlington; many nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
