Renabel Bible Clutz, affectionately known as “Mama Clutz” and “Mother Clutz,” passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on November 16, 1932, in Cisco, Texas, Renabel lived a life filled with love, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to her family and community.

Known for her cooking skills, Renabel’s kitchen was always filled with delicious aromas as she joyfully cooked for her loved ones. Whether it was a holiday feast or a simple gathering, her meals brought people together and created lasting memories. Renabel’s warm and welcoming nature extended beyond her kitchen as her home became a safe-haven for her children’s friends, who were always welcomed with open arms.

Renabel’s love for music was evident throughout her life. She lent her voice to the choir at First Presbyterian Church, where her melodious tones rang out in praise. In her younger years, Renabel even had the opportunity to showcase her operatic talents as a singer for the Dallas Symphony, captivating audiences with her enchanting performances. From her childhood, Renabel sang for churches of all denominations in and around Cisco.

In addition to her artistic pursuits, Renabel was a dedicated and passionate elementary school teacher. She touched the lives of countless young minds, instilling in them a love for learning and a sense of curiosity about the world around them. Her impact as an educator will never be forgotten.

Survived by her loving children, Catherine Daniell, Frederick Clutz and wife Angie, and Amy Philipp and husband Tom, as well as five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Renabel’s legacy lives on through her family. They will forever cherish the memories and the invaluable life lessons passed down from their beloved mother and Nana. She is also survived by her sister, Nan, and nephew Bob Arnold and his wife Natalie. Also survived by family member Shirley Granger, as well as brother-in-law David Clutz and his wife, Terry.

She was preceded in death by her beloved and adored husband of 59 years, Henry. Theirs was a great romance.

In accordance with Renabel’s wishes, her remains will be cremated. A memorial service to celebrate her remarkable life will be held on February 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Wade Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington, TX, 76013. Friends, family, and all those whose lives she touched are invited to attend and share in the celebration of Renabel’s life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be donated to the ASPCA, to help animals like those that Renabel rescued and dearly loved.

Renabel Bible Clutz will be deeply missed, but her spirit of love, generosity, and joy will forever resonate within the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid her farewell, let us remember the laughter, the warmth, and the unwavering love she brought into our lives. May she rest in eternal peace.
