Rebecca Rene Hagen, 51, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2023 in Arlington, Texas after a long illness.
Rebecca was born in Cherry Point, North Carolina on December 11, 1971 to Gary and Debra Thomas.
She is survived by her son Cooper Torsch and her father Gary Thomas and step-mother Sherry Thomas; her husband, David Hagen; his children, Laura Hagen Rudicel (husband Justin), Susan Hagen Jaimes and David Matthew Hagen; a brother, Jeff Thomas and his wife Jennifer and Jeff’s children, Trent Thomas, Josie Graycheck, and Jenna Thomas.
Rebecca was blessed with several grandchildren; Tiffinay Hagen, Michael Collazo, Johnny Collazo, Julianna James, Andrew Hagen and the two youngest, Colton and Harper Rudicel. The last two years have been physically challenging, but she always looked at life in a positive way. Her compassion for others was often displayed in small gifts to those in need.
One caretaker recently wrote “It was a pleasure taking care of you. I hope that you are feeling better. Later Tater”
Early in their 18 years together, she would see her husband David depart for work with an attaché or computer case in one hand. That is when he developed his household nick name “Paddington, the Proper Bear”.

Rebecca was a light to all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service for Rebecca will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1200 W Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, Texas. 76013.
