Rebecca Hatcher Helton

Rebecca “Becky” Hatcher Helton, 81, passed away on June 15, 2022 in Arlington, Texas surrounded by her family.
Rebecca was born in Huntsville, Alabama on May 7, 1941 to John Hatcher and Cecil Roberson Hatcher. She married Richard D. Helton in Huntsville, Alabama on September 18, 1965. After a number of years living in both Alabama and Texas, they settled down in Arizona where they lived for 23 years. The Heltons returned to Texas three years ago first living in McKinney but most recently residing in Arlington. Rebecca was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend to many.
Survivors: Husband, Richard D. Helton; son, Doug Helton (Jennie); daughter, Jennifer L. Helton; brother, David L. Hatcher; sister, Charlotte H. Cheek; her granddog Bruiser (who she affectionately called BooBoo), and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life in Huntsville, Alabama on July 30. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
