Raymond Edward Lewallen

ARLINGTON -- Raymond Edward Lewallen, 69, passed from this life Sunday, March 9, 2014. Funeral: A celebration of his life will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: 2:30 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on Mountain Creek Parkway in Dallas. Visitation: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service. Raymond was born Sept. 22, 1944. He met Patricia Thurman Lewallen the first day of first grade at Jim Ned CISD; they were married Dec. 18, 1965. He enlisted in the USAF in 1968, where he became a pilot and obtained the rank of captain. Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Lewallen; sons, Eddy and Linda Lewallen of Weatherford, Scott and Kim Lewallen of Blanket; daughter, Uvonna and Chris Alexander of Mansfield; sisters, Brenda Figueroa and husband, Ruben, of El Paso, Ramona England and husband, Don, of Snyder, Marlene Mosley and husband, Buddy, of Graham; grandchildren, Matt and Andy Camp, Sarah Cason, Dylan and Ethan Alexander, Mattie and Katelyn Lewallen; and two great-grandchildren.
