Raymond Cole Yucuis, 60, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, fought a brave fight to pancreatic
cancer and passed peacefully Monday, June 27, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.
A visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Wade Family Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas. Funeral service will be at 10am on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Central Bible Church, 8001 Anderson Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas 76120.
Raymond was born to the late Charles P. Yucuis and late Carol J. Sommer in Chicago, Illinois on April 20,
1962. Raymond grew up in the Sleepy Hollow/Chicago area, wrestling and volunteering at his Catholic
church until 1999. He moved to Allen, Texas to continue his career with TruGreen Chemlawn and used
his spare time to coach his kids’ soccer teams, support them in their extracurricular activities, and serve
as PTA President.
Raymond was a resident of Arlington, Texas since 2011 and a member of Central Bible Church; where he
used his desire to serve others through countless mission trips for hurricane cleanups, and a ministry
near and dear to his heart, the Helping Hands Ministry.
He was a handyman who loved to stay busy, whether it was painting, renovating homes, or installing
irrigation systems, he loved to work with his hands. He enjoyed the outdoors; camping, fishing,
gardening, yard games, and golfing were among his favorite pastimes.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Carol (Sommer) Yucuis; a sister, Shari
(Yucuis) Anatra, and brother-in-law, Bruce Kling.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle (Smith) Yucuis; his children, Lauren (Steven) Hosack of Puerto Lempira,
Honduras, Lindsey (Justin) Ray of Katy, Texas, Landon (Ashley) Yucuis of Anna, Texas, Logan Yucuis of
Arlington, Texas; Michael (Emily) Smith, grandchildren (Rylie, Penelope, Barrett, Benjamin, Aubrey,
Alexa, Reed) with two more grandchildren on the way; four brothers, Tom (Jill) Yucuis, James (Ann), Jack
(Jacquie), Rob (Chris), two sisters, Lynne (Rob) Winger, Nancy (Brad) Dehmlow; and many nieces,
nephews and countless good and faithful friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Raymond’s memory may be made to the Helping Hands Ministry at
Central Bible Church. Checks may be written to Central Bible Church with “Helping Hands” or “Raymond
Yucuis” in the memo line.
