Ray Glenn Mcfarland

Raymond Glenn McFarland of Arlington, TX. at the age of 86 passed from this life on Saturday, June 15, 2019. Graveside Service: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Clear Creek Cemetery, Brown County, Texas. Ray was born April 29, 1933 in Dallas, TX. To the proud parents, Raymond “Mun” Munford McFarland and Glenna Velda Cole. He was raised in Dallas and Oak Cliff, TX and graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, TX. Raymond attended Arlington State College and graduated from UT Austin in 1959 with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Communications. Ray met Etta Earlene Guyer in Temple, TX in 1952. On June 5, 1954, they were married in Bangs, TX. They were married for 65 years. Throughout his career, Ray worked at numerous radio stations as a disc jockey. Ray left radio to work in Dallas at WFAA and KRLD. Ray left television to work for both the Dallas and Arlington Convention and Visitors Centers. Survivors: Wife, Earlene McFarland of Arlington, TX; daughter, Sharon Love and husband, David of Arlington, TX; son, Stephen McFarland of White Oak, TX; grandchildren, Zachary Zeiller and wife, Vanessa, Marcus Zeiller, Austin McFarland and wife, Rebekah, Nicholas McFarland, Connor McFarland, Franklin Love and Matthew Love; brother, Warren McFarland and wife, Nancy; cousin, Millard Goad and wife, Barbara; and numerous nieces and nephews.
