ARLINGTON -- Raul Mendez, 78, passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Arlington. Interment: Skyvue Memorial Gardens, Mansfield. Visitation: 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington. Raul was born August 15, 1936 in Mexico to Francisco and Tomasa Castillo Mendez. Survivors: Wife of 55 years, Malucia Mendez; sons, Raul Mendez Jr. and wife, Helen, Francisco Mendez and wife, Maria, Mario Mendez, Juan Mendez, Carlos Mendez and wife, Francisca and Sergio Mendez and wife, Lizeth; daughters, Maria Mendez and husband, Jesus, Liliana Sanchez and husband, Roque, Mary Mendez, Lucia Gonzales and husband, Fabian and Norma Mendez and husband, Jose; brothers, Victor Mendez and wife, Adelina and Faustino Mendez and wife, Carmen; 25 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
