ARLINGTON -- Rannie Paul Hampton, 63, was taken from us unexpectedly on Monday, January 14, 2013. Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM Wednesday at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish, 5819 West Pleasant Ridge Road, Arlington. Interment: 2 p.m. at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: Memorial donations may be made in memory of Rannie Hampton to the American Heart Association, or to a college fund established for the children, with checks made payable to Norma Hampton, with the memo line to include “For the Rannie Hampton Children College Fund”, sent to P.O. BOX 171832, Arlington, TX 76003-1832. Rannie was born Feb. 25, 1949 in Lubbock to Don L. Hampton and Sarah Hampton of Sweetwater. He married Norma Valladares on June 4, 1993 and the following years had 2 daughters, Barbara and Lauren. Rannie was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps and served for 4 years. He was a Construction Superintendent, respected by all those who knew him in the Construction Industry in Texas, Egypt and Honduras. He believed in giving to others and loved working with Habitat for Humanity and Hearts and Hammers; active member of the SVDP Men's Club and served as an usher for mass. Rannie was passionate about his family, proud father and loving husband, loved his girls with tenderness. He will be sorely missed by all those whose lives he impacted. Rannie was preceded in death by his father, Don L. Hampton, brother, Don J. Hampton, and sister in law, Cheryl Hampton. Survivors: Wife, Norma of Arlington; daughters, Barbara and Lauren of Arlington; mother, Sarah R.Hampton of Sweetwater; brothers, Tim Hampton and Mark Hampton and wife, Jackie Hampton, all of Sweetwater; step-daughter, Deirdre Harbal and husband, Vince Harbal and their children, Allan Paul and Andrew Dylan of Arlington; nieces, Paige Bick and husband, John J. Bick and their children, Halle, Haiden and Kenedi of Arlington; niece, Kellie Hampton Bick and husband, Gregory L. Bick of Midland and their children, John and Warren McLain, Payton and Jacob Bick; Nephew, Larson Hampton and Wife, Brandi of Aledo and their Children, Caden, Addison and Levy; father-in-law, Hugo Valladares and his wife, Norma of Honduras; sister-in-law, Gracia Vasquez and husband, Julio Vasquez and their children, Graciamaria, Daniela and Andres of Honduras; sister-in-law, Diana Valenzuela and husband, Juan Ramon Valenzuela and their children, Juan Ramon and Diego of Honduras; brother-in-law, Hugo Valladares and wife, Belkis Valladares and their daughter, Sofia of Honduras; brother-in-law, Fernando Valladares and wife, Wendy Valladares of Honduras and their children, Rodrigo and Cecilia.
