Randy Vasquez Cruz

ARLINGTON -- Randy V. Cruz, 57, passed away Monday, May 14, 2012, in Dallas. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Monday, May 21, at First Baptist Church of Arlington, 300 S. Center St., Arlington, the Rev. Robert L. Jay officiating. Memorials: Donations may be made to the Randy V. Cruz Memorial Fund at any Chase Bank. Randy was born April 1, 1955, in Austin to Paul and Victoria Cruz. Randy had been a resident of Arlington since 1964. He was a graduate of Sam Houston High School, served in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from Tarrant County College. He was very active in the community, coaching Optimist Club football and Little League baseball. He worked in the communications industry for over 35 years. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and his grandson. Survivors: Wife, Melissa Cruz of Arlington; sons, Randy Eric Cruz and wife, Amanda, Brandon Cruz and Jonathan Cruz; daughter, Allison Cruz; grandson, Tristan; brother, Ronnie Cruz; and sisters, JoAnn Doubledee, Debra Glaisyer, LuAnn Junkin, Carla Willingham and RoxAnn Ybarra.
