Ralph Emerson Gum

Ralph Emerson Gum, 69, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017. Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Ralph was born December 23, 1947 to Stanley and Mona June Cheney Gum in Electra, Texas. Ralph, a graduate of Burkburnett High School, class of 1966, married Adrienne Davey in the summer of 1967. The following year, their daughter Michelle Ann Gum was born. Ten years later, their second daughter, Crystal Renee Gum was born. A small business owner, specializing in heating and air conditioning, Ralph started his first company; fondly named MARC Air Conditioning - Michelle, Adrienne, Ralph, Crystal. He later joined and became owner of Precision Heating & Air Conditioning, which he owned until his passing. Ralph's enormous heart touched countless people throughout his life; however his love for his wife, daughters, grandchildren and especially his dog, Bailey, was unparalleled. His humor, generosity, and kindness will be missed by the numerous lives he had the pleasure of impacting. While the past 27 days were some of the hardest days for our family, we could not have done it without the love and support of his doctors and nurses. We would like to especially thank, Dr. Steven Havard, Dr Darien Bradford, Kara Bader NP, Dr Patel's and Dr Thuc Q Nguyen; all of the nurses from the Cardiac Wing at MCA - especially Brittani and Dava and the nurses in CVICU - Jon, Jason, Adrienne, Cecile, Gody, Moses, Han, Kim, Rodel, Linda, Carly, and Melissa. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Judy Gum Young and Becky Gum Burris. He is survived by his wife, Adrienne; daughters, Michelle and husband John, and Crystal; his grandchildren, Rhett Gum, Tye and Mattie Bennett, Zane and Macy Timmerman; his brothers, James Gum and wife Cathy, Ricky Gum and wife, Angelica; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
