Rachel Forbis Duncan

Rachel Forbis Duncan passed away on June 14, 2022. Born in Jackson, Tennessee, She was a graduate of Jackson Central High School and received her Associate of Arts from Freed-Hardeman University, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Memphis, Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction form Tusculum College, and her school administrator endorsement from Lincoln Memorial University.

A dedicated educator, she taught for a total of 14 years in Wylie and Richardson, Texas as well as Soddy Daisy and Chattanooga, Tennessee. She also served for an additional 14 years as Title I Coordinator for Hamilton County Schools.

She relocated to Dallas in 2012 serving as the Office Manager for Dove Chiropractic Health Center where she served her patients with pure joy. She became a special part of everyone’s family who entered the doors.

Rachel is lovingly remembered by her son Hal Duncan (Kristin), grandsons Zachary and Evan, daughter Kate Duncan Flowers (Josh), mother Peggy Forbis, sister Connie Rust, nephews Adam Rust (Cheyenne), Blake Rust (Mimi) and nieces Claire Zachary (Justin), Dana Busey, and ten great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved father Jack Forbis.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 18 at Faith Presbyterian Hospice Chapel at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gladney Center for Adoption in Fort Worth, TX.
