Preston Calvin Hasty

Preston Calvin Hasty, 88, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 in Arlington, Texas. Visitation for Preston's friends and family will be at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76013, on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Services for Preston will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018, in the Chapel of Wade Family Funeral Home, with Chaplain John Mark Fowler officiating. Burial will be at Hess Cemetery, Hess, Oklahoma, on Friday, November 16th at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Lynn Rudd officiating. Preston was born on January 15, 1930 to Earl Estie and Mattie Viola (Walker) Hasty in Blair, Oklahoma. He married the love of his life, Exa Fern Tucker in 1948. He went to work for Swift and Company in Fort Worth in 1954. He worked as the Regional Manager until his retirement in 1992. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening, working in his yard and sometimes found time for a fishing or hunting trip. Preston was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Fern Hasty; his son, Gary Hasty and wife Denice of Philadelphia, PA; daughter, Lana Hasty of Arlington; sister, Mattie Boyles of Lawton, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren, Preston E. Hasty, and Aaron Michael Hasty, and great-grandson, Kaysen Michael Hasty. Wade Family Funeral Home 817-274-9233
