Peter Oskar Rode, 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in Arlington. Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 1, at Johnson Station Cemetery, Arlington. Visitation: 12 noon-1:00 p.m. Monday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to Toys for Tots. Peter was born on September 28, 1933 in Germany to Joseph Rode and Johanne Fitzek Rode. He took great pride in the fact that he played the glockenspiel in the American Legion Drum Corps. He enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers, hockey and soccer. Survivors: Wife of 61 years, Renate Rode; daughter, Joanne Worrell and husband, Bobby; and grandchild, Olivia Worrell.
