Paul Lyday

Paul Robert Lyday, 91, passed away after a short illness, on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at his residence in Mansfield, Texas. Paul was born in Dallas, Texas on October 5, 1928 to Paul and Inez (Richmond) Lyday. Paul began his career in the aviation industry. He started as an airplane mechanic and later became a pilot. After many years in the aviation industry, he made a career change into the Hotel Industry working as the Hotel Chief Engineer until he retired at the age of 83. He was predeceased by his parents. Paul is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary (Powell) Lyday of Arlington Tx; son, Paul Robert Lyday II and his fiancé Shelley Fisher of Dallas Tx; grandson Jarrett Lyday and his wife Chelsie of Fort Worth Tx; daughter and spouse, Sandra and Angelica Lyday of Sierra Vista, Arizona; grandchildren, Rayan Lyday, Phoenix Lyday, and Lyric Lyday; brother-in-law, John Powell and his wife, Jan Powell.
