ARLINGTON -- Patsy Mae Nation, 84, a lifelong Arlington resident, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and nanny, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, in Arlington.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Dr. L. Dennis Smith officiating. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wade Family Funeral Home.
Patsy was born March 6, 1931, in Arlington to Boyd Lawson and Lela Mae Noah Lawson, a pioneer Arlington family. She was a devout Christian lady who raised a house load of kids and was known for her beans and cornbread. Patsy was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church. She was a former public school teacher.
She enjoyed quilting with her sister, Lillie Ruth Couch, cooking and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Bruce Lawson.
Survivors: Husband of 63 years, David Ivan Nation; sons, John Nation and wife, Sandra, David Hunter Nation and wife, Laura, Richard "Dickey" Nation, Andrew Nation and wife, Regina, and Bruce Nation and wife, Annette; daughter, Susanna Tate and husband, Jeff; sister, Lillie Couch; grandchildren, Jacob, Rebekah, Kathryn, James and Madison; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
