Patsy Joann Richey

ARLINGTON -- Patsy Metcalf Richey, 81, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013, in Arlington. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday in Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, with Minister Roger Spann officiating. Interment: Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home. Pat was born Sept. 23, 1931, in Mansfield to William and Elizabeth Metcalf. She graduated from Polytechnic High School and City County School of Nursing in 1952. Pat attended Texas Wesleyan University. She retired as a surgical nurse after 30 years of service with Harris Hospital. Pat was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Edith Parrish. Survivors: Husband of 61 years, D.L. Richey; daughters, Stephana Spann and husband, Roger, Tamara Wood and husband, Doug, and Rhonda Threlkeld and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Brandon Wood, Nicole Contreras, Garrett Wood and Andrew Threlkeld; great-grandchildren, Madison, Gavin, Parker Wood, Gabriel Gonzales, Triston and Jacob Threlkeld; and many nieces and nephews.
