ARLINGTON -- Patsy Edith Williams, 77, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Arlington.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Fielder Church, 2011 S Fielder Rd, Arlington with Rev. Jerry Morris, Rev. Roland Williams and Bishop Randy Williams officiating. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Patsy was born on March 23, 1937 in Archer City to Luther Nelson Wakefield and Edith Jewel Singleton Wakefield. She graduated from The University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science and earned her Masters from The University of North Texas. An Arlington resident for the past 44 years, she was an active member of Fielder Church. A longtime public school teacher, she worked as a business education teacher and later a librarian with the Arlington Independent School District.
Patsy is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Willie Hayes Williams on May 11, 2014.
Survivors: Sons, Randy J. Williams and wife, Melanie and Rodney G. Williams; brothers, Luther Nelson Wakefield Jr. and Jerry Dee Wakefield and wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Randy Jr., Aaron, Emma, Jacob, Miriam, Gideon, Moses and Esther.
