Patrick Erwin Garner

Patrick Garner, 64, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021. A Memorial Visitation Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Tx 76013. Patrick was born on February 18, 1957 in Eddy, New Mexico to Wendell and Joyce (Holley) Garner. He attended Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas and athletic in his high school years, playing baseball and football. He was drafted out of high school to play baseball by the Philadelphia Phillies, who then sent him to Ranger Junior College, then went to West Texas State University to play baseball. Patrick loved to play golf and spending time at Possum Kingdom Lake. He enjoyed listening to country music (Gary Allen was his favorite) and riding jet skis at the lake. Pat loved life and lived it to the fullest. Patrick is survived by his wife, Virginia (Rubio) Garner, step-son, Omar Winters; step-daughter, Emma Winters; brother, Mike Garner and wife Kathy; sisters, Tracie Garner and Darla Gillespie; nephews, Terry Garner, Brandon Gillespie and Kyle Longfellow; nieces, Kristin Ballard and Shelly Smith, and a host of friends.
