ARLINGTON -- Patricia Jane "P.J." Crayton passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, and is celebrating with her Jesus.
Funeral: A service, led by her grandson Steven Hill, is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Handley United United Methodist Church in Fort Worth. Family visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home in Arlington.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Hill, Alex Hill, Lonnie Eager, Chuck Eager, John Coleman and Bobby Irvin.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in P.J.'s memory to a charity of choice.
P.J. was born Sept. 27, 1939, in Lawton, Okla., to Winona and Monroe "Buck" Savage. She graduated from Fort Worth Polytechnic High School in 1957 and worked most of her adult life, including stints with Texas Electric and most recently as bookkeeper and office manager at K Truck Lines in Grand Prairie.
The joys of her life were her cherished grandchildren, Steven, Jonathan, Alex and Zachary Hill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Gwen Kurosky; and brother, Don Savage.
The family wishes to thank the loving caregivers at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital for taking care of our mom and Grandma P.J.
Survivors: Her sons, Jim of Arlington and Jerry and his wife, Julie, of Waco; her four grandchildren; her sisters, Laura Ellis of Tacoma, Wash., Barbara Irvin of Cleburne and Katie Sawyer of Fountain Valley, Calif.; several beloved nieces and nephews; and a close core of friends who will miss her dearly.
