Patricia Ann Mannion

August 24, 1933 — January 3, 2021

Patricia Ann Callan Mannion died peacefully on January 3, 2021 in Arlington, TX at the age of 87. She bravely faced several health issues the last few months of her life. As her body weakened, she clearly wanted to be with Jesus and all her loved ones in Heaven. We rejoice that she is now laughing, talking and dancing in Heaven! Pat was born on August 24, 1933 in New York, New York to Thomas Francis Callan and Irene Frances (Horan)Callan. She was raised in Queens, NY and attended St. Bartholomew School. For high school, she commuted to St. Michael's Academy in Manhattan. After graduation from Grace Institute business school, she began working at Long Island City Savings Bank where she met and later married John Mannion in 1957. Pat was a wonderful mother to her 5 children who absolutely loved and adored her. In the early 1960's, Pat and family moved to Hicksville, NY on Long Island where they lived until their move to Texas in 1976. Arlington, Texas became Pat's home for over 44 years. Dallas became her place of work as she managed a showroom for Higgins Marketing at the World Trade Center in Dallas from the early 1980's until her retirement. Pat was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church and their Leisure Club. She was also a member of the Suburban Woman's Club, the Second Sunday Bridge Club, Downtown Singles and several other social groups. Pat was the life of the party and never met a stranger. She was a great dancer and a better storyteller. Her smile was a delight and her laugh was infectious. She loved her family greatly and put their needs above her own. She had a true servant's heart. Loving, kind, fun, loyal, sweet, witty, hard working and unselfish are a few words that come to mind when thinking of Pat. There will be a hole that no one else can fill. We will miss her beyond words. Services will be held at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas on January 25, 2021 with 50% capacity per Ft. Worth Diocese COVID-19 policy. There will be a Rosary at 10:30am and a funeral mass at 11:00am, followed by the ash burial. A Celebration of Pat's Life will also be held this summer. She is predeceased by her parents, Thomas Callan and Irene Callan, and her sister, Renee Callan. Pat is survived by her children Michael Mannion (Grace), Sue Brown (Jeff), Kevin Mannion (Lisa), Karen Jeffers (Tod), and John Mannion; her grandchildren Nicki and Callan Mannion, Megan Mullen (Max), Erin Ray (Carter), Callan Brown, Lauren Montgomery (Chase), Matthew Mannion, and Joseph, Natalie and Kathryn Jeffers; her great grandchildren Callan and Nathan Mullen, and Quinn Montgomery; Brother Thomas Callan (Eileen); Sister-in-law Ellen McDonnell; many nieces, nephews and extended family; and so many dear friends.
