Patricia Ann Irvine

November 18, 1934 — March 27, 2021

Patricia “Pat” Irvine of Hurst, Texas passed away on March 27, 2021. Pat and her identical twin sister, Betty, were born in Nottingham, England on November 18, 1934. At the age of 18, Pat sailed from England to begin a new adventure in America. Several years later while working as a waitress at a cafe in Lubbock, Texas, Pat met the love of her life, a traveling salesman named Bill Irvine. She and Bill were joined in marriage on September 18, 1965 and to their union was born their son and only child, Kirk. Bill and Pat were blessed with a close knit family and many friends who were like an extended family to them throughout their 46 years together. Rarely was there a weekend that they weren't hosting or attending get-togethers with their family and friends. Pat also was an active member in the British Club and always looked forward to their monthly meetings and holiday parties. Her British Club friends were enduring and supported her following Bill's death on July 12, 2011 and in the 10 years after he passed away. Pat and her sisters had an unbreakable bond and loved their trips to England, numerous shopping trips and family outings and vacations with their husbands and children. Pat also relished her time with her grandchildren and was always so proud of Kirk and his service to America, a country of which she became a citizen in 2003. Pat is survived by her son, Kirk, his wife, Stacey, and their children, Will, Michael, Sydney and Hunter. She is also survived by her sisters, Sheila Buford, Betty Miller (Mason) and Rita Shaw (Walter), and brother, John Dobney, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
